5/29/08 - Tonight King and I attended our first "Yappy Hour" from 5-8pm at the Inn at Saratoga sponsored by Sloppy Kisses of Saratoga. What a great event!  It was a beautiful venue to enjoy a cocktail with your dog and to meet other dog lovers.  Melanie and Eugene Dallas, owners of Sloppy Kisses, did a great job and are doing a great job creating a "dog friendly" culture in our community! Please support them and consider attending their next Yappy Hour on 6/26/08 - C. Lawyer

5/27/08 - Moreau Town Board Meeting - As Spokesperson for the Dog Park Committee, I presented to the Board the proposed rules and related information requested at the last Board Meeting regarding the creation of the temporary dog park on Route 197. Unfortunately, because there were 3 local residents to this location who objected the Town Board said that we could not have a temporary dog park. We respect their concerns, but it is unfortunate that they were not provided the opportunity to understand what a dog park IS and what the plans might be.

This was a great disappointment. But the Dog Park Committee prevails. We will meet with the Moreau Park Commission on June 2 to identify potential locations for a permanent location with the Harry Betar Rec Park. - C. Lawyer
