PRESS RELEASE: POOCH PICS FOR A MOREAU DOG PARK FUNDRAISER TO BE HELD ON JUNE 20 & 21 IN SOUTH GLENS FALLS

– A fundraiser to support the creating the
Moreau
Dog
Park
will be held on Friday, June 20th and Saturday, June 21st at the Twilight Studios,
67 Main Street, South
Glens Falls
. For $25, attendees will receive four photographs of their pet including one-5x7, one-3x5 and two wallet-sized. Appointments are requested by contacting Twilight Studios at (518) 824-5773. Refreshments and items for sale donated by byDONGO of
Glens Falls
to support the dog park will also be available.
“As business owners, community members and dog owners, we are excited to help create this dog park which would be a great addition to our community” said Colleen Hougham, co-owner of Twilight Studios. Her partner, Julie Sheeran is also an avid supporter of this initiative. “Community residents desperately need a place to take their dogs for exercise and socialization.” Sheeran said.
Sponsored by the Moreau D.O.G Club, Dog Park Committee, all profits will go toward offsetting costs to create the
Moreau
Dog
Park
. The Moreau D.O.G. Club supports the creation of an off-leash, fenced in area within the
Harry
Betar
Recreational
Park
in the Town of
Moreau
and plans other fundraisers this year. The Moreau Town Board has preliminarily approved a site within the park, but the Dog Park Committee and supporters are required to do the necessary fundraising, design and construction to create the facility. Volunteers and donations are being requested.

. Comic hypnotist Ray’s show is interactive and funny utilizing audience members as the "stars" of the show. Donation is $7.
Michael Ray has appeared at fairs throughout
New York
State
and is well known in the region for his frequent appearances at local high schools including
Saratoga Springs

Greenville
, Ballston Spa and Mohanasen where he has performed for fundraisers and continues to be a draw for high school post-prom events. Ray has performed for corporations including General Electric, Snap-On Tools, and Mobile Oil. He has also performed at colleges including SUNY,

South Glens Falls – The Town of Moreau Dog Park Committee has launched a new website to inform community residents about the initiative to create an unleashed dog park in the Town of
Moreau, Saratoga County,New York. The website link is www.moreaudogpark.com.
For over two years, a group of concerned citizens has been working with the Moreau Town Board to create a dog park in the
Moreau
Town
Park
. The Dog Park Committee has launched a community awareness campaign informing citizens about the need to create a dog park within the Town of
Moreau
and seeking volunteers to support the campaign. Currently there are over a 1000 registered dog owners within the town. National statics indicate that approximately 40% of a community is dog owners. The Dog Park Committee’s goal is to create a safe, community-friendly, enclosed space where dog owners can exercise and socialize there dogs, their “family members”, to help them become better neighbors and citizens. The Dog Park Committee cites over a 1000 similar dog parks nationwide that have benefitted their communities by promoting responsible pet ownership and improving community real estate desirability by creating a dog park their community.
