History The Dog Park Initiative was created by Moreau Residents Phyllis Miyauchi and Terri Liddle in 2005... (see "What's New for Press Release timeline)
November 2007 From: the Town of Moreau, NY Dog Park Committee On July 11, 2007, a special meeting of the Moreau Town Board listened once again to responsible dog owners’ desire to create a dog park in the Town of Moreau. Finally, the Board agreed to consider a dog park, however, only after the Dog Park Committee conducts a feasibility study and community campaign. So the project has just begun and we are looking for community members who are interested in helping. There's a lot to do and we are hoping for your support as a supporter, a volunteer and/or a financial supporter. There are lots of ways you can help, but first and most importantly we need your feedback as to all the reasons why you would like a dog park in the community. Click here for a listing of dog park benefits! The Dog Park Informational Meeting held on October 18th was tremendously successful. You can read about in a PostStar.com article. The Volunteer Meeting held on November 1st at the Town Hall created lots of ideas and action plans to communicate to the community about the benefits of a dog park. Read about the results here.
